How are you different from all other career advisors?
Obraz Zhizni is not about the final choice. It is about learning how to keep making one. There are two key principles: choosing a way of life rather than a profession; diverse experiments rather than a choice.
We share the way of choosing scientists follow: free exploration → hypothesis generation → prototyping (quick test of the hypothesis) → analysis → next cycle. We do not give ready answers, but learn to find them.

Where are you coming from?
We grew up from the social project called "Hroom" (online classes for children in orphanages) merging the ideas of inclusive environment and career-guidance. We ran our first camp "Obraz Zhizni: the City" in November 2014. It was created from a scratch in less than two months and was a great success. This camp was the result of five years' experience of managing various career-guidance camps.

The format is an unusual one. There is a place for business methods, meditation and visualization. Everyone in the group communicate with each other; it is not only about you and the coach. My mind map of goals is more colorful and extensive after the camp. Now, it is full of sounds, pictures and emotions, not black-and-white to-do lists and marked priorities. That's why it is easier for me now to make decisions, to say "yes" or "no" to myself and others. I think less and live more. It's worth it.

It all happened in an excellent atmosphere of Obraz Zhizni. Age in the group ranged from schoolchildren to working 40-year olds. I favoured this as well, because different generations can view the same question from totally different points of view. At the Obraz Zhizni' meetings, one can always meet interesting people and learn about other life options:-)

I participated in two "investigations". It was interesting to hear the views of different speakers, discussing the change of the profession. The work in groups was useful. I appreciated that we were not only listening and asking questions, but also participating and performing.
